Tess Stimson, Opinion Editor
Tess Stimson is the Opinion Editor at VTDigger. An award-winning journalist, bestselling author and former university professor, she has more than 30 years of experience in international reporting with CNN, ITN and the BBC, covering hotspots and war zones across the globe.
Born in the UK, Stimson studied English at Oxford before joining ITN as a news producer. She spent many years living and working in the Middle East before moving to the US in 2002. She has written 17 bestselling novels, translated into more than 20 languages. Before joining VTDigger, she taught digital communication, media studies, screenwriting and storytelling at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.
She lives in the Northeast Kingdom with her husband and is visited intermittently by her three grown-up children whenever they need their laundry done.
